This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
...in the words of the late Warren Zevon. Pretty much words to live by at this point, since I'm overbooked in almost everything - coursework, freelancing, music, life.
But being busy is good. It forces me to give order and priority to things, but at the same time, requires amazing flexibility...and I'm doing my best not to let anyone or anything fall by the wayside in the meantime.
Product design studio projects for this quarter:
-Cycling accessories -Departmental Distinction thesis on the use of metaphor in product semantics
Other design projects going on concurrently:
-Personal identity development -Artwork for galley menus on S/S St. Marys Challenger -Revision of past coursework
The personal identity development got a much-needed kick in the pants thanks to Design 656, a course that senior design students are required to take before graduating. It's basically an update of a class we took last spring that taught the fundamentals of designing your own logo, portfolio, web site, etc., but with lectures on the business aspect of design and entrepreneurship. I cranked out a few new ideas for a logo, which I'll post here shortly...still not a total success, but I think I'm getting closer. The letters BK are so incredibly hard to mesh into a creative, fun-looking letterform logo...future concepts are going to focus more on the K only (per professor's advice).
Feedback and advice on the logo work are always appreciated, particularly if you're more visual-communications inclined. I'm realizing just how little I know about the mechanics of that field!
Your designing is amazing! I loved [link] It looks really profressional and neat!
Your photography is great too! Keep up the awesome work~
